In older generation of power supplies, output voltage adjustment was done by turning the built-in potentiometer. The latest PCA series can easily control the input or output voltage/current with a Windows PC or an Android smartphone remotely by using the communication function (UART) equipped as standard. It eases operation for application with power supply installed remotely and enables adjustment of multiple power supplies efficiently

Designing external circuit, grounding circuit and inspecting the resistors layout on PCB for constant current could be complex and
time-consuming. By using PCA series, you can realize constant current operation easily. It can reduce the time you spend on design and inspection.

Remote monitoring of the power supply with a Windows PC provides crucial data in case of failure or maintenance

PCA series with communication ports (UART) can be connected to a Windows PC to monitor power supply parameters such as input / output voltage, current, temperature inside power supply, fan speed…etc. When failure occurs in production line, normally, a current clamp is used to inspect different location of the production line. By using PCA series, however, power supply operation data are logged in the Windows PC and it will save time to identify and analyze the failure. Since total operation time of the power supply can be monitored, it will be easy to schedule and carry out maintenance.

With the digital monitoring function of the PCA series, it is possible to measure the output current and output voltage collectively on a Windows PC to reduce line stop time
